Chatbots, computer programs created to conversation with human users, can be seen everywhere. Some are utilized on websites to help customers and navigate queries. Chatbots also include large-scale models such as Open AI's ChatGPT or Google Gemini. In this class, girls will be able to code their own Chatbot in Python which can provide empathetic responses when a user discusses how they are feeling. No prior experience needed.

Make Your Own Scratch Customization Game ποΈβ¨π¨

Scratch is a visual programming language which allows users to learn basic fundamentals of coding and create games, animations, and more. In this class, girls will code a customization game, which will allow them to create unique avatars with different backgrounds. This class also gives girls an opportunity to explore digital art in combination with technology and programming. No prior experience needed.

Create a Racing Game with Scratch ποΈ ππ

Grades 5-9
In this class, girls will be able to use Scratch to program a racing game where the user needs to avoid obstacles. The class will introduce basic coding fundamentals such as variables and loops. Game design concepts such as animation and user input will also be explored. No prior experience needed.

Mission ExoQuest: Create Your Own Space Mission ππ½π°οΈ

Grades 5-9
Outer space is truly endless, allowing for infinite discoveries and exploration. In this class, girls will be able to engage with NASA tools to discover real exoplanets, planets which orbit a star outside the solar system. The girls will explore which exoplanets are potentially habitable using their own Python program. Girls will then create their own mission to an exoplanet based on their findings and simulate the mission using Scratch. The simulation will showcase adaptations the girls design for their planet to ensure habitability, giving them the experience of a planetary scientist. No prior experience needed.

Build Your Own Smart Pet πΆπ±π°

Grades 5-9
Imagine a pet which could read your emotions and respond to your feelings in the best possible way. In this class, girls will be able to build their own smart pet which responds to their emotions using AI facial recognition. The girls will train their own AI model with various emotions and then utilize the model to code a pet which can interact with them based on their feelings. The class will explore how AI is being used to create customizable applications and will also introduce basic animation concepts. No prior experience needed.

Emojis are everywhere and it seems that there is an emoji for almost everything π¦©πΈπππ©΅. In this class, girls will be able to build their own emoji translator which can convert plain words to their customized emoji code. Girls will be able to explore Python concepts while constructing their translator. No prior experience needed. π»πππ©·

At the heart of most animation movies are countless years spent behind programming each element to create a cinematic masterpiece. In this class, girls will be able to animate their own short film in Scratch by designing their own characters and backgrounds and then using block coding to bring their vision to life. No prior experience needed.
